Shawn grew up in Chippewa Falls graduating from Chi Hi in 1989. Following graduation he enlisted with the United States Navy and served during Desert Storm until he was honorably discharged in 1993. He returned to the beautiful Chippewa Valley and met his wife Karen and had 3 beautiful daughters. Shawn began his real estate career in 2004 and since then has worked every aspect of the real estate industry representing sellers, buyers and investors in both the residential and commercial market. Much of his success can be traced to his previous work experience in the home improvement industry, which makes him a great asset to both buyers and sellers.

I LOVE real estate. I love talking about it, looking at homes, and seeing the equity it brings to people. Since beginning my real estate career in 2016, I’ve never felt like I was just going to “work” or doing a “job” because I truly enjoy what I do every day. My passion for real estate started young, watching my parents invest in properties. Now, my other half, Phillip Dresel, and I have purchased several investment properties and built multiple homes together.
I know firsthand the excitement of buying a home—whether it’s your first or your tenth, every transaction is unique. Beyond real estate, I actively serve on the Board of Directors and a housing search team for Hope Village in Chippewa Falls, helping provide shelter, mentoring, education, and workforce housing to those in need. I also serve on the Government Affairs Committee, advocating for property rights, and on the Realtor Association’s MLS Board of Directors, because I believe knowledge is power in this industry.
